Fall DTS 2010-2011

Kyiv DTS 09-10 is done! It was a great school with lots of memories and growth. Now we are on to planning the next one.

We are looking for serious people who want to dive into 6 months of finding out the character of God in a missions environment. DTS is a great place to learn what missions is like but also how to be salt and light in anything that you may do. If you want to experience these intense 6 months of community and growth, please apply. We would love to see you.

Teams Doing Great in Armenia and Turkey

The teams are almost done with outreach and are coming in to Kyiv for Debrief week in a few days. We are also getting some interest into our next we plan on having in the fall. We are looking forward to both.

This bus ride from Armenia to Turkey took over 30 hours. It was a lot of fun.

When we got to Turkey, we waited for a while at McDonalds then went out to meet our contact. The problem was that it took longer than expected and we ended up standing in the rain. But it was really cool, so no one was complaining.

Outreach Halfway Done

Hello Everyone.

Outreach is just over half way through. Both teams are in Armenia right now. Lance will be going on saturday to meet them and help one of the teams transition into Turkey. We are about $700 from being fully funded for outreach, but we aren't too worried about it. Though the teams are both in the same city, they are acting independently of each other. We did this on purpose to spread out the work being done there. Both teams had prayed and felt they needed to do specific things in Yerevan. They do enjoy being able to hang out with each other though.

By the way, we are still in development of our website. We were finally able to link this blog as a redirect from our site. (that is why there aren't many here) We apologize to those that have been trying to follow the DTS or have been looking for information. Our hope is to keep the blog up until we can get the site up and running. So if you have any questions about DTS or anything, please let us know at dts@ywamkyiv.org

У нас появилось еще пару студентов, и вскоре будут рассмотрены еще несколько претендентов. Мы все рады видеть международный дух этой школы.

Уже прошла половина тренинга сотрудников, мы продолжим через несколько недель, после конференции Университета Наций, который помогает организовать наша база.

New Students!

Just a quick update. We have added a couple more students with more possibly on the way. We are really excited about the truly international feel of this school. Staff training is almost halfway done, we will finish in a couple of weeks after the big workshop our base is hosting. If you are interested in the fall school of 2009, applications are due by the 1st of September! We would love to see you here!
